Ferguson makes Rooney admission
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted Wayne Rooney will not be rushed back from his hamstring injury. The England striker has not played since limping off after eight minutes of the 1-0 win over Wigan on January 14 and will not be brought back for the visit of his old club Everton at Old Trafford on Saturday. Ferguson has said the champions will take their time with Rooney because of the nature of the injury and have no intention of returning him before it has healed."Wayne has never had a hamstring injury before and there's no way we will bring him back early," he said."He's doing terrific work in the gym and, in terms of his rehabilitation, is on the mend."
